Young Talent Time – Where Are They Now?

yttYoung Talent Time (YTT) aired on our screens from 1971 to 1988. YTT launched the careers of singers Jane Scali, Tina Arena and Dannii Minogue. Nicole Kidman even guest starred in 1983 and Kylie famously sang “Sisters are donig it for Themselves” with Dannii. Here’s a look at where are they now?

Cast is in alphabetical order.

Beven Addinsall 1983 – 1988
Beven saw an ad in the newspaper about YTT searching for a new team member and ended up becoming one of it’s stars. After YTT, Beven starred in a stage production of “Seven Little Australians” and then went on to become a golf pro.
He has since returned to entertaining, as a corporate performer. Triple J also released “Beven The Musical”, a comical song about Beven’s life by ex_Rove’s Peter Hellier. Continue reading


Julie Goodwin and “Freddie” Flintoff Join The Jungle Bunch

jgLast night, former Miss Universe Australia Laura Dundovic and The Bachelor Australia Tim Robards did not receive a rose from viewers. The two were sent packing and the camp count dropped from 11 down to nine.

But quicker than you can say “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”, two fresh faces were spotted making their way into the celebrity camp. Legendary England cricketer Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff and winner of MasterChef Australia series one Julie Goodwin began their trek into camp last night, but were quickly met with a surprise challenge that left them both hanging. Reckless Cancelled

recklessThere won’t be a second season of the steamy legal drama, Reckless.

It didn’t make the top 20 after premiereing Thursday night at 9.30pm and also failed to make a mark over the course of it’s first season in the USA.

Reckless revolves around a beautiful litigator from the north and a charming southern attorney who must hide their intense mutual attraction as a police sex scandal erupts in Charleston, South Carolina. Continue reading

Under The Dome and Extant Renewed

extantCBS announced today that the hit series UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT will return for broadcast in 2015. Both from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, UNDER THE DOME returns for its third season, and EXTANT for its sophomore season.

“We’re committed to delivering our viewers and advertisers year-round programming with a wide variety of storytelling,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment. “We continue to see summer (USA) as a great place for unique concepts, innovative business models and passionate television audiences.” Continue reading

Carrie Bickmore Announces Pregnancy on TV

carrieCongratulation to Carrie Bickmore, who has announced on live TV that she is expecting her second child. The Project co-host said “Speaking of babies, I have some news for you, I am having a baby,”during tonight’s show.

“My boyfriend Chris and I are expecting a baby next year.” No it’s not Dr Chris but her partner, Chris Walker, who is a former series producer on the show..

Bickmore joked that morning sickness had already kicked in saying she was “petrified” and “excited.” She added her son, Oliver, was “Stoked”. Continue reading
