kylie gilliesSeven’s The Morning Show turns things up to 11 this month with a celebration of all things music.

From the biggest moments in music to rock’n’roll’s best kept secrets, Rocktober on The Morning Show has it all including a live performance every day from October 6.

Things kick off on Monday with a look at music’s classic moments, hits and memories from the sixties until now. Some of Australia’s biggest music industry insiders including Ian “Dicko” Dickson, AC/DC and INXS producer Mark Opitz, concert promoter Michael Chugg and music historian Glenn A. Baker, will dish the dirt on each era and house band, The Shuffle, will perform the most iconic song from each decade.

Later this month, we’ll look at the stories behind history’s greatest protest songs. Then, from Miley Cyrus to Sam Smith, Bruce Springsteen to Rudimental, we’ll bring you the world’s most popular artists as you’ve never heard them before when Australia’s favourite singers perform unique cover versions of these chart toppers’ best loved hits.

Guest performers throughout Rocktober on The Morning Show include Katie Noonan, Human Nature, The Screaming Jets, Jordan Millar and Bonjah.

With Larry Emdur now on holidays for two and a half weeks, Kylie Gillies will be channelling her inner rock goddess alongside guest hosts including The X Factor’s Luke Jacobz who joins her on the couch .
